Newborn Hearing Screen

At Mount Alvernia Hospital, we offer the newborn hearing screening program to identify hearing loss in newborns as early as possible.

We use the highly efficient and reliable AABR (Automated Auditory Brainstem-evoked Response) method for performing the hearing screens. This test is performed by our trained staff while the baby is in our nursery.
