There are 2 pharmacies located in Mount Alvernia Hospital. The Main Pharmacy is located at the ground floor next to the Business Office, while the Outpatient Pharmacy is located at Unit #01-1C at Mount Alvernia Medical Centre A.

MAIN PHARMACY

The Main Pharmacy Functions are:

  • Dispensing - To the inpatients and the discharged patients, including the supply of all the ward stocks. We supply medicines to all the patients in Assisi Home & Hospice, including the daycare and home care patients.
  • Purchasing - All pharmaceutical supplies for the whole hospital, including the items for the Outpatient (OPD) Pharmacy, are processed here.
  • Drug Information Service - Most of the Reference Books, guidelines and package inserts are filed here. Medical staff who needs information on certain drugs can direct their enquiries to the Main Pharmacy.

The opening hours are:
Monday to Friday : 8.00 am to 7.00 pm
Saturday : 8.00 am to 2.00 pm
Sunday/Public Holiday : 8.30 am to 1.30 pm

OUTPATIENT/RETAIL PHARMACY

The Outpatient Pharmacy is located near the 24-hour Outpatient and Emergency Department. It is also more centrally located in the hospital. Hence, it serves the needs of the patients from the various Specialist Clinics from Medical Centres A & B and patients from the 24-hour Outpatient and Emergency Department.

Besides filling prescriptions, there is also a wide range of over-the-counter (OTC) products stocked for the common needs of patients/customers.

  • OTC/Pharmacy only medicine for minor illnesses
  • Health Books & Educational Books
  • Children's Educational Books/Toys
  • Baby Products eg. feeding bottles, nappy rash cream
  • Breast Feeding Products: eg. breast pump, milk bag, breast cream
