Maternity Packages

At Mount Alvernia, we support mothers through all stages of pregnancy – antenatal, childbirth and post-natal. Pro-life and pro-breastfeeding, our experienced team of doctors, nurses, nutritionists, lactation consultants and physiotherapists work together to ensure you get the best support when you need it most.

Maternity Packages for all types of delivery (Normal/Assisted/Caesarean Section) with wide selection of room types to choose from (4-Bed/Double/Single/Deluxe/Suite). Packages start from $1,206 (excluding GST).

• Package prices are with effect 1 January 2011 and subject to prevailing GST rate

All packages include
• BCG & 1st Hepatitis B injection for baby (during hospital stay only) if baby's condition permits
• One post-natal exercise class

Please note that:

1. The Hospital will make every effort to accommodate your choice of booking. In the event that a single room is not available on admission, a 2-bedded room may be converted into a single room, and a single room rate shall apply.
   
   
2. The above maternity package prices are for Hospital Charges and do not include all professional fees. Kindly refer to your doctors for their fees.
   
   
3. These maternity packages commence from the day of surgery/delivery..
   
   
4. The Hospital discharge time is 12 noon or before. For discharges between 12 noon to 6 pm, a half-day room charge will be levied. For discharges after 6 pm, a full-day room charge will apply.
   
   
5. A higher room package will apply for any upgrading or downgrading of room. For example, to downgrade from double room to four bedded, a double room package will apply. Similarly, to upgrade from double room to single room, the single room package will apply.
   
   
6. A deposit of 50% to 100% will be collected at point of admission depending on the types of maternity package selected. For non-Medisave patient, the package price is payable in full as deposit upon admission.
   
   Alternatively, subject to approval, no deposit will be collected if patient authorizes the hospital to deduct the full outstanding amount at final bill via VISA/MASTER or AMERICAN EXPRESS upon admission.
   
   
7. Above maternity packages are subject to review without notification and are not entitled to any form of discount.
   
   
8. The above maternity packages are for normal procedures and items commonly used by doctors only. Complications and extended length of stay could result in the use of additional medical supplies, drugs and/or additional procedures, in excess to those stated in the packages.
   
   
9. Histology, X-rays, Blood Cultures, Haemoglucotest, Blood Transfusion, OT Assistant Fee, Surcharges, Baby Hearing Test, Abdominal Binder, CTG Monitoring and Use of Labour Ward Facility before Emergency Caesarean, Use of Pessary for the Induction of Labour, Antibiotics, Blood Test and Phototherapy for babies with jaundice, and drugs that are not commonly used are not included in the package price. Accordingly, such excess will be billed to the patient.
   
   
10. Where necessary, the Hospital reserves the right to transfer any credit balance from the patient's bill to the new born baby's bill on the day of discharge.
    
    
11. The Hospital will submit your pre-delivery expenses as part of the Medisave Maternity Package. All original pre-delivery expenses must be submitted to our admission staff on your admission. An administrative fee of $26.75 including GST will be levied for submissions after 7 days from discharge.
    
    
12. Please note that you are allowed to withdraw Medisave claim of $450 for antenatal care upon submission of original receipts to our admission staff.
